Owl ai is hiring a principal perception scientist – fusion engineer to join the teamYou`ll play an impactful role in our mission to provide intelligent thermal ranging platforms based on proprietary image sensors and computer vision algorithms to enhance the safety of vehicles, both on and off the roadWe just closed $15 million in series a funding and hope you`re interested in being part of our journey.

Your role

Develop the next generation of automotive sensor technology to save lives
Have a significant impact in growing a company from the ground up and shaping its future
Serve as a thought leader for owl ai and help direct the future of this technology and application
Significant influence on the technology development as well as the hands on application and setting the tone for the technical team

About you

Recognized industry expert in the image perception and sensor fusion fields
Demonstrated thought leader with a portfolio of patents, technical publications and professional society standing
Expert in ml/ai applications in adas and paeb systems
Expert in image sensor function, design, and signal processing
Deep learning, slam, cnn, dnn development and implementation
In depth knowledge of tier 1 and oem product development cycles including safety critical systems engineering and automotive safety integrity level (asil) application
Hands on individual contributor who is comfortable leading technical teams and engaging with executive leadership.
Effective communicator at ease engaging with tier 1 and oem as the authority on technology in critical customer engagements
Proficient with state of the art tools including tensorflow, yolo, can, gmsl python, c++, linux, itk, vtk, opencv, qt

Qualifications

Phd in science or engineering
Post-doctoral work in science or engineering
