Description
Mesa seeks an it network administrator who will work physically in our corporate office in madison, alabamaThe position reports directly to the it director, the infrastructure administrator will administer, monitor, maintain, deploy, and document mesa`s corporate infrastructure following nist/nerc-cip best practicesCandidate must troubleshoot, and remedy networks and hardware within the infrastructureThis includes routers, switches, servers, power systems, and associated services, as well as cloud-based saas or iaasCandidate must travel to remote mesa sites, and future mesa sites, for planned deployments, maintenance, or decommissioning.
Duties include:
Servers: candidate will test, deploy, or decommission servers including applications and software services, physical, virtual, or cloud environmentCandidate must carry out infrastructure troubleshooting and decide on prioritization during service breakdowns and partake in detailed research to determine the sources and resolve issues within predetermined slas or timely fashion.
Networking: candidate will provide support to the existing lan/wan network environment and implement, upgrade, or decommission technologies as designed, such as servers, routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and cloud servicesCandidate must ensure operations’ workflow, best practices, and server maintenance are working effectively and efficiently to aid the improvement of performance, security, and availability of systems and dependent ecosystems.
Backups: candidate will ensure data backups and dr are monitored and maintained, and that technical and cybersecurity processes and best practices are in place and followed.
Administration: candidate will administer infrastructure systems, including the provisioning, decommissioning, and disabling of user accounts, physical and virtual systems, networks, and hardware.
Documentation: candidate will be responsible for the generation and maintenance of technical documentation for existing and future systems within the it infrastructure.
Knowledge/skills:
Must possess expert knowledge of servers, switching, routing, firewalls, lans, wlans, tcp/ip, vpns, and voip.
Must possess knowledge of common business cloud applications and security products such as microsoft 365, azure, and web proxy solutions.
Must follow both technical and cybersecurity guidelines and best practices, such as nist/nerc-cip at all times.

Preferred certifications: network+, security+, ccna, ccna cloud, and mcse
Work environmnet: this position is onsite and is not suitable for a remote work arrangement.
Education: associates degree or higher
Experiecne: minimum 5 years’ infrastructure experience.
Travel: occasional travel
