General ledger accountant
Our client is a leading medical technology company and is recognized globallyThey are growing and looking for multiple general ledger accountant to join their dynamic teamIndividuals can choose to be 100% fully remote or work at any of their locations for a hybrid work model or drop in as needed.
Summary:
As general ledger accountant i, you will support both large and small business units by preparing and posting monthly journal entries and providing reportingThis position will require 2 days in our san antonio office.
Responsibilities:

Facilitate special operating and/or reporting requirements and prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and quarterly reporting, including flux analysis.
Assist with preparation of tax package schedules for various companies and additional year-end reporting requirements.
Work in multiple erp environments; develop standard processes.
Identify and implement process improvements in gl system by researching and assessing established standardized work flow procedures and policies.
Collaborate cross-functionally and with senior management.
Proven experience with erp systems, (sap strongly preferred), and the demonstrated ability to be an ms excel champion; sap 6.0, and blackline reconciliation module preferred.
Strong analytical and customer service skills with the ability to communicate and present to leadership.
Demonstrated global shared service environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor`s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum 1 years experience in general accounting, with a focus on general ledger activities, includes internship/co-op experience.
