Maxwell geosystems is an innovative saas company whose technology allows civil engineering professionals to manage huge quantities of varied data from construction projects within a real time and completely customisable environmentThis is revolutionary software, replacing outdated excel reporting and a real game-changer for the industryThe company is seeking an outstanding, experienced design professional to join the team as a front-end developer, to help build on their existing success by designing elegant, creative, informative and simple to use website, web and mobile app software environmentsThe front-end developer will bring a fresh perspective to the design, appearance and functionality of the maxwell geosystems website and applicationsWorking in close collaboration with our product team you will develop the form, functionality and content of the company website, software interfaces and a variety of applicationsThe position will work collaboratively with a multi-functional team of senior engineers, programmers, developers and management executives throughout the entire product field ensuring a highly effective visitor experience is achievedYou will be working closely with the product engineer to design and overhaul the architecture behind the corporate website and create web applicationsYou will be using the latest and best of web technologies wherever and whenever possibleYour focus will be on function and robustness of web applications and the company’s proprietary software.

Some of the duties you’ll be doing…

Focus – creating pixel-perfect designs in-line with the rest of the product
Websites and web applications with a javascript engineer
Collaboratively with other developers, ui/ux designer, product engineer and marketing team.
Overseeing the extension and evolution of our product`s design systems across new features and enhancements.
Visual mock-ups and interactive prototypes, focus on the creation of elegant, engaging design environments.
Ability to prototype in html-5, javascript, css, also wordpress
Other duties as assigned including company website.

Who you are…

Detail focused and imaginative, you will investigate user requirements and develop interfaces with a keen eye for usability and efficiency.
You will be well researched and up to date with current website and latest trends
Qualifications: associate degree in or higher in web programming related fields (ux, software engineering, internet security, networking).
2-4 years of javascript programming, or other system design experience with understanding of web applications, web technologies, best practices, and a rich portfolio of programming work that goes beyond simple websites and mobile apps.
A strong, demonstrable portfolio of past web applications including websites.
Understanding and experience in coding with minimal and clean code design process.
Experience assisting with a broad range of assets from icons to web flows, moving your designs throughout an agile development process, wire-framing and prototyping.
Domain savvy.
Fluency in best practices for web-based or mobile-based information architecture and design
Creative and resourcefulYou have a passion for design, technology, learning, and are fluent in industry-standard tools (adobe creative suite, sketch, principle, etc.)You take into account the evolving landscape of technology, resources, and trends that help generate, evaluate, and communicate your designs and ideas effectively.
Good knowledge of browser technologies will be an added advantage.

Technical skills and experience you should process to perform well on the job:

Html-5, css-3, ascii doc and javascript
Conversant with react, react native
Also with nextjs, vue, bootstrap & angular system architectures
Static site generators (eg; jekyll, hugo, gatsby, vue press, etc)
Vim, atom, sublime, vs code (either one will do)
Json, xml, csv
Yaml and toml
Ajax
Ecma script 5,6 (7,8,9 are bonus)
