The facilities manager is responsible for managing maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities across all children`s home & aid locationsThe position plans, budgets and scheduled facility modificationsThe facilities manager will also develop relationships with vendors including utilities and real estate agents and lead emergency preparedness and energy efficiency initiatives in the agencyThe position is responsible for coordinating with on-site maintenance workersThis position reports to the senior vice president and chief financial officer.
What you’ll do:
Coordinate site visits to asses for safety and facility needs.
Maintain up to date knowledge of internal, local, and federal guidelines and safety standards, and ensure agency facilities are in compliance.
Work closely with maintenance supervisors and program directors in specific locations.
Plan for and respond to facility emergencies/outages and arrange short-term and permanent repairs.
Manage planning and bidding processes for facility related repairs, renovations, and relocations, including remediation where necessary.
Coordinate with safety committee to identify and promote facilities-related safety initiatives and awareness.
Prepare detailed assessments and reports on safety issues and coordinate communication with all levels of agency staff regarding safety preparedness and expectations.
Who you are:
You have at least an associate`s degree; bachelor`s degree preferred.
You have a minimum of 5 years related facility management experience.
You have have two to three years of supervisory experience preferred.
You have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
The details:
Location: hybrid (remote/in office), must be within reasonable driving distance to chicago and plan to work from the corporate home office at 200 wMonroe stAt least once a week.
Schedule: full-time, salaried; general business hours some flexibility for special projects & events.
Staff are required to be fully vaccinated against covid-19 and to submit proof of their vaccination status before their start date unless they have an agency approved medical or religious exemptionStaff with an exemption will need to provide proof of weekly testing.
Compensation & benefits:
Salary range: starts at $50,000 and offers are commensurate with experience.
