About the job
As an account manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key publisher accounts, monitoring their overall performance, identifying opportunities for growth and areas of risk, and troubleshooting problems that may arise.
What you will do:
Developing, cementing, and maintaining strong partnerships with customers in the media and publishing industry
Negotiating long-term contracts to lock up deals
Scouting for new use cases and understanding customer objectives well to build deeper integration with the customer’s marketing stack
Devising innovative solutions to achieve the highest roi for the customer and secure incremental revenue
Closely analyzing performance data to identify trends and suggesting appropriate actions during monthly and quarterly business reviews
Tracking product adoption and working proactively with the product team to channelize customer feedback
Working closely with the sales team to grow the account by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Flagging issues to the support team to get them resolved
Collaborating with the marketing team to publish and promote case studies, podcasts, webinars, etc
What you need to have:
Master’s degree in business administration or similar field
Thorough understanding of the digital publisher ecosystem with 3-4 years of work experience
Proven experience of working with publisher clients to fully understand their business model and campaign objectives, and the ability to develop strategies to meet their goals
Openness to work in different shifts: aus (07:00-16:00), uk (13:30-22:30), us (16:00-01:00)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Strong analytical ability and data-driven mindset
Experience working in a collaborative, team-based atmosphere
Aptitude for prospecting, identifying sound business opportunities and closing business
Ability to succeed both independently and in a collaborative, team-based atmosphere
High degree of accountability and passion for work
Experience presenting data and analytics in a compelling way
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience of negotiating contracts within media publisher ecosystem
Deep understanding of publisher ecosystem and network
