About The Role

As a windows system administrator at Zeta, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all the Windows-based infrastructure within an organization. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows servers, as well as ensuring their security, performance, and reliability. You would also be responsible for handling user accounts, permissions, and group policies, ensuring proper access control and compliance with Zeta’s policies.

Job Location: Mumbai, India (100% on-site)

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Configure and optimize web servers, log servers, database servers, and virtual machines (VMs) on the Windows platform.
• Perform incident and root cause analyses (RCAs) and troubleshoot to identify and implement permanent resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, resolving issues promptly and documenting RCAs and tickets.
• Proactively monitor product/services/site performance, uptime, and availability on Windows servers, analyzing logs and metrics for continuous improvement.
• Administer servers, laptops, desktop computers, printers, and phones, and manage software deployment, security updates, and patches within a Windows environment.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users, analyze, and isolate issues efficiently on Windows systems.
• Utilize Azure expertise to deploy, configure, and manage resources on the Azure cloud platform.

Skills

• Azure Skills: Hands-on experience with the Azure cloud platform, including resource deployment, configuration, and management.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows operating systems, including Azure Active Directory, DNS, Radius Authentication, and DHCP.
• Infrastructure: Familiarity with storage technologies such as RAID, LVM, SAN, and NAS (NFS, etc.).
• Web Servers: Experience in configuring and managing web servers on the Windows platform.
• Scripting/Programming: Familiarity with scripting or programming languages relevant to Windows administration.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues efficiently on Windows systems.

Experience And Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in Windows system administration.
• Prior hands-on experience on working in the Azure cloud domain.
• A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
