The Global Security Team at Walmart consists of a band of extremely dedicated & competent security professionals with proven track records and is continually striving to maintain excellence in the security programs with consistent quality and ensuring cost effective solutions at par with the highest Walmart Global Security International Support security standards. We are looking for a suitable candidate to take on the duties of Associate Manager Security at IDC Bangalore to assist the Manager Security.
Your Opportunity:
You will be part of Global Security Team which is a part of Global Security International Support (GSIS) Team of Walmart. GSIS is a Walmart division that is responsible for the security of People, Asset & Brand reputation at Walmart. As part of this team, you will be part of the team of security persons to assist the Security Manager at WM Global Tech India, IDC Bangalore to manage & implement the efficient managing of all aspects of physical security on a 24 x 7 basis.
You must be fully committed to supporting the stake-holders and core business objectives of Walmart while obtaining best value for money for the organization
Your Responsibility
As Associate Manager at IDC Bangalore your responsibility would be to assist the Security Manager at IDC Bangalore in building up, developing, conducting, supervising, implementing, collaborating on a comprehensive Security program to include the areas of Facility Safety, Associate Safety, Badging processes, Electronic Surveillance, Fire Safety & Fire Audits, Training on violence free work-place, Executive Protection of leadership, Information Security, Assigned Investigations, Event Management and processes involving Global Security Policy on protection of People & Assets related to Risk analysis, implement risk mitigation and Emergency Response Plans, Brand reputation .
You will also have the obligation of maintaining Security vendor relationships to ensure service levels are met as agreed in the AMC contracts. You would have sound knowledge of budgeting for the security expenses and scrutinizing the invoices raised by the Security vendor/vendors by auditing the rendered services and if any discrepancies, you would work with vendors to rectify any abnormalities as per the agreed terms and conditions signed by Walmart contract.
You will have to interface with various stake holders from business to fulfill their security requirements from time to time depending on the business needs. Also manage end to end security operations of a building where you lead the security team to maintain the high standards of the premises security.
You would need
- To carry out constant liaison with the local police, intelligence and other security agencies to get the National & Global security updates..
- To attend regional meetings and other Security meetings at the WM Global Tech India buildings and seminars.
- Maintain liaison with other local Security organizations and security managers of other Multi-national companies in the region to understand their best practices.
Your Knowledge
- A good understanding of a global security issues.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of theatre or country-based risk histories, including security, political and law enforcement, Business and compliance issues that directly effect or impact the company.
- Expert knowledge of security and risk assessment methodology and deploying solutions, capable of changing them to meet emerging needs.
- Proven experience in handling and implementing crisis management, emergency, preparedness and response programs
- Wide range of leadership experience and skills in controlling crisis events.
- Has fairly Strong Analytical skill and pro-active capability to resolve issues on a timely manner
- Fairly Strong working knowledge of security systems and their inherent capabilities and limitations.
- Fair amount of Experience in planning and implementation of BCP, Pandemic plans.
- Fair amount of working knowledge of computer systems and applications designed to support Physical Security efforts.
- Has proven ability to work with external agencies, such as police and government organizations, in the areas of intelligence gathering, risk assessment and partnership-building that would or could materially, positively effect the company.
- Has knowledge in budgeting with regard to planning and security expenditures. Ability to develop, manage and control budgets and expenses.
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Skills in cross cultural corporate environment
- Travel if required.
