UL Solutions Looking for ENGINEER – Offshore Wind Turbine Certification – Technical Project Manager/ Structural Engineer (m/f) at   Bangalore Full Time

KEY JOB FUNCTION:

Working under the supervision of the global team and support the renewable energy certification projects globally. He/she will evaluate design calculations for approval of the structural components of a floating foundation for a wind turbine Additionally, he/she will inspect customer factories to witness the correct implementation of specific designs, commissioning of wind turbines and inspection of transport and installation. Design evaluations according to international guidelines will be the main technical aspects of the job.

Further, the engineer will be responsible for administration requirements relating to certification, independent execution, and timely completion of projects by analyzing project scope, determining project specifications, and coordinating with clients during the course of the project and project management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working closely with the Segment leader and Global team, the Engineer will be responsible for Project execution, Customer management, and expanding UL Renewables Certification services in India.

Key responsibilities are,

· Design evaluation of offshore wind turbine structures with Ansys or similar software

· Participate as well as manage offshore project certification

· Review of Transport and Installation procedures

· Communication with business partners in India and abroad

HIRE-IN

· Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Structural Engineering, or any equivalent field.

· Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in structural analysis, fatigue failure, FEA calculations, structural steel materials, and cast materials.

· Experience in commercialized numerical simulation tools (for example ANSYS or similar).

· Hands-on experience in transport and installation processes

· Hands-on experience in project management

· Understanding of project certification schemes like IEC 61400-22 and IECRE OD 502 for wind farms.

· Time management skills.

· Excellent organizational communication skills (English speaking and writing).

· Customer focus, commitment, and independent work.

· Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Hands-on experience in project management.

· Ability and willingness to develop and expand business.

· Experience in the continuous development of work processes (Lean Six Sigma) is desirable.
