BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – MARKET ENTRY CONSULTING
We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to work closely with our Client Engagement team with an aim to generate leads, understand client needs and provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations for successful market entry.
SUMMARY
As a BDM, you will be responsible for client acquisition, managing strategic consulting projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with clients, develop project strategies, and assist project team to deliver exceptional results. Your role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders, analyzing complex business challenges, and providing actionable recommendations.
The successful execution of projects will require strong project management skills, deep business acumen, and the ability to navigate and influence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead Generation, Project Planning & Execution
Identify new business opportunity and write winning proposals.
· Develop comprehensive project plans, including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
· Assist project teams, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and alignment of efforts.
· Monitor project progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and manage changes to scope, budget, and timeline.
· Ensure project deliverables, meet quality standards and client expectations.
2. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
· Understand client needs, business goals, and industry dynamics to provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations.
· Conduct client interviews,
workshops, and presentations to gather information, share progress, and seek feedback.
· Manage client expectations, resolve conflicts, and proactively address any issues that may arise during the project.
3. Strategic Analysis and Problem Solving:
· Conduct thorough research and analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
· Evaluate clients’ business models, identify growth opportunities, and assess risks and challenges.
· Prepare winning proposals for lead generation.
· Use data-driven insights to develop innovative strategies and recommend actionable solutions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation plans and drive organizational change
REQUIREMENTS
– In-depth understanding of the macroeconomic environment in India, regulations pertaining to Foreign Direct Investments and key growth sectors of the Indian economy.
– Proven experience in strategy consulting or management consulting, preferably in a project management capacity.
– B.E (any discipline) plus MBA preferably in International Business, Finance or Equivalent. International university qualification will be an added advantage.
– Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
– Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
– Strong client management and relationship-building skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
– Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management, data analysis, and presentation (e.g., Microsoft office suite, project management software, data visualization tools).
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 – 3 years in a Business Consulting/Research/Client Engagement Environment
Experience of developing new business & generating leads.
Experience of writing consulting proposals
Exposure of handling international clients is a must.
