Our work mattersWe help people get the medicine they need to feel better and live wellWe do not lose sight of thatIt fuels our passion and drives every decision we makeJob posting title accounting manager, corp accounting – remote job description the manager of corporate accounting is responsible for managing month-end/year-end close processes, maintenance of the general ledger, development of internal controls, and day-to-day oversight of corporate accounting operations including all corresponding activities and maintenance of proper internal controlsThis position interacts with departments across the organization and will also be visible to several members of the senior leadership teamThis role provides financial support to management and various departmentsResponsibilities

Manage the activities relating to the maintenance and reporting of general corporate financial records and systems required to accurately reflect the company’s financial activity and condition, including:
Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completion of month-end balance sheet reconciliation processes
Participate in the preparation of month-end/year-end financial statements in accordance with gaap
Support the annual external financial audit process
Review, evaluate, and create proper internal control procedures
Lead an effective, timely and efficient monthly close process
Proactively and effectively partner with relevant business areas on the monitoring and accounting processes for judgmental accrual areas including financial guarantees
Ensure compliance with us gaap and corporate policies in all areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and capitalized software development
Provide comprehensive, accurate, timely and relevant financial analysis and reporting to prime management
Participate in the development of new accounting processes in response to strategic changes in prime’s business
Lead, coach and manage team members to deliver on deptartment goals, coordinate workload, ensure quality, establish procedures, meet client/customer expectations and manage the costs of the services being provided
Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience; hs diploma or ged is required
6 years of work experience in accounting or finance
1 year of management/people leadership experience
Must be able to work in the united states without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional qualifications

Experience with erp financial systems (sap a plus)
Prior leadership and/or management experience
Proficient in excel, word and powerpoint
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills

Preferred qualifications

Strong understanding of gaap
Cpa or cma
2 years experience in public accounting
Process improvement and/or project management experience a strong plus
Proven team player that has a customer service approach and enjoys working in a high growth environment
Ability and desire to build and lead an effective, high performing team

Minimum physical job requirements

Reporting structure

Reports to director or senior director in the controllership department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $82,200.00 – $123,400.00 based on location, experience and skills.
