Pnc is looking for candidates to fill multiple mainframe system programmer roles, both entry level and experienced for our state of the art ibm mainframe systems platform to support: z/os, cics, vtam, tcp/ip, jes2, smp/e, vsam, uss and many isv vendor software solutions for monitoring, scheduling, change management, storage management, performance & tuning, report distribution, web services, automation, sysplex management, hardware iogen configuration & operation, business continuity & recovery, programmer productivity tools and programming languages.
Looking for a self-motivated, innovative individual to join an exciting team of mainframe systems programmers maintaining and supporting critical infrastructure software on the mainframe platform running in a multi-sysplex z/os configurationYou will be performing advanced technical support for primarily the mainframe platform; installing, configuring & testing mainframe vendor software; and performing project tasks to enhance & modernize the mainframe platformYou will have direct interaction with multiple areas within it and be responsible for keeping up-to-date with latest technologies as it relates to the mainframe platform and its interaction with distributed platforms and webservicesThe right candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment and multitask important project deliverables, communicating effectively.
As a systems admin srYou will be required to support, install, configure, test & deploy mainframe system software components across lpars in multi sysplex environment; provide technical support to programmers & end users and coach junior staffIn addition, this position will require general platform support – including troubleshooting, issue resolution and on-call duties.

The ideal candidate will have systems programming experience installing, configuring and supporting z/os platform software and services:

Using z/os, smp/e, ispf, mainframe jcl and system utilities
Programming experience to support one or more of the following languages – rexx, clist, sas, cobol, focus, easytrieve, asm
Knowledge to support one or more of the following – ca-7, ca-endevor, ca-opsmvs, xpt/r, sas, uss, cics, jes2, vtam, tcp/ip, ca-acf2
Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus: ndm, vsam, sharepoint, jira, topaz, microsoft excel, service now, rdz, ispw, z/osmf, ispf dialogs, syncsort, fileaid, vps; securing ports, project planning, mainframe security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
