Junior IT Systems Engineer (Noida, India)

Your Mission

As a member of our IT Operations team, you are responsible for providing technical support to our employees and maintaining the health and availability of our internal IT systems. This role focuses on internal end-user support but offers additional opportunities to advance into systems engineering as your knowledge progresses. We are a global team, with a fully remote-work-enabled user base. You will collaborate daily with colleagues and end-users across North America, Europe, and Asia.

We seek a self-motivated, energetic, and adaptable individual with hands-on technical experience in an enterprise IT environment. In addition to your technical capability, clarity of communication and a team-oriented personality are vital to success in this position. We expect you to be equally comfortable supporting end-users, collaborating with engineers on other teams, or supporting IT operations projects with a global scope.

Requirements

• Completed a university or technical school education focusing on IT, computer science, or engineering (or comparable professional experience)
• A minimum of 1-year experience working in an end-user support or systems administrator role in a corporate environment, ideally supporting more than 100 users.
• Fluency in verbal and written English

Additionally, experience with some of the following would be beneficial:

• Identity and access management in Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Troubleshooting and application support in macOS and Windows
• Familiarity with client device management platforms (e.g. InTune, Jamf, JumpCloud, Ninja)
• Applied ITSM processes (e.g. ITIL certification)
• Automation technologies like PowerShell, Power Automate or Microsoft Flows

Ontinue will support the right candidate in acquiring new or missing skill sets.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensuring the availability of IT services for our internal users as part of the Ontinue global IT Operations team
• Collaborating with colleagues from other internal teams to resolve service requests.
• Provisioning IT services and equipment for new users
• Ensuring situational awareness among your peers via thorough communications and documentation
• Being available for occasional work outside normal business hours due to emergency incident response, planned off-hours maintenance, and on-call duty rotation.

This position is based in Noida, India – where Ontinue is operating a dedicated branch office. Remote work is also possible, within the reasonable daily commute range of our planned office location in Noida.

This position reports to our corporate Head of IT Operations based in Zürich, Switzerland. Some travel may be required (not to exceed 10%) for training or on-site support purposes, both within India, and to Ontinue corporate locations worldwide.
