type approve technical solutions and provide technical readiness of the same including Engineering documentation. Further the team is responsible to support technology life cycle maintenance as well as bespoke customer solutions.Person in this role ensures the delivery of the automation capabilities for development of new products, platforms and services. Should be capable to own the systems/tools, drive automation and ensures the best in class programming/coding for features development as part of the technology roadmap.Key accountabilities• Works in a team of highly skilled engineers who Design and develop Packet (Ethernet/IP/MPLS) network architecture and automation for service provider environment to deliver IP/Ethernet products and services.• Owner of automation platforms/appliances necessary to support the Colt’s business. This includes High level/low level designs, testing, deployment, evolution and optimization.• Testing & Evaluation – Testing requirements definition and product /appliance features, system capabilities and integration.• Evaluation of new systems,

software releases, platform, technology and features and continuous evolution.• Liaison and handover solutions as part of the projects to users/customers.• Interface with supplier / vendors in hardware and software roadmaps.• Maintain and update the technical libraries , engineering documentation & release management libraries .• Support stakeholder teams across the globe with escalation , vendor technical issues , technology collaborations & discussions.• Supports and delivers development of network improvements and drives continual improvement• Provide transfer of knowledge sessions / trainings to Learning & development teams & stakeholder teams if requirements.• Actively participate in technical forums and other specialist communities.• Liaison and handover solutions as part of the projects to service Delivery , service Operations teams. Support escalation , vendor technical issues and technology collaborationsKey performance indicators (financial and non-financial)Network Engineering KPIs are below• Introduction of Colt’s service platforms as part of the product and technology development roadmap on time, quality and within budget.• Integration of network architecture and organisational activities across Colt operating geographies• Drive efficiencies through the implementation of new technologies, suppliers and architectures to achieve the target KPIs set.• Deliver the end-to-end Architectural Vision that will enable Colt to generate growth, innovate, drive simplification and deliver competitive advantage.Relationships and key contacts• Technology collaboration with Strategy and Architecture, Product Management, Capacity Management.• Deliver technology transfer to customer experience organization – Network Operations NOC / TAC etc. Service Delivery teams.• Interactions and collaboration with technology suppliers.• Interface and support to customer bid projects – solution architects and technical solution managers.Role specific requirementsSkills & Experience • 10 – 20 years of experience in telco service provider or large scale content / internet industry or managed IT/network services related industry.• Should have worked on projects for Service Provider Network Service design and testing• Should have worked on projects for Software development for the Service Orchestration tools• Knowledge of Network and Network Automation both are required• Packet Network Technology Domain Knowledge and Experience Requirement (Any 3 of these):• Advanced BGP routing, BGP-EVPN and MPLS L3 VPN is a must have• Design of Services such as Internet Access, IPVPN or Ethernet VPN, Metro Ethernet• Testing of Ethernet or IP services for Service Provider networks• Advanced level knowledge designing QoS• Testing of Routers (Cisco or Juniper) and Advanced level knowledge on IOS-XR or JUNOS• Network Automation Platform Requirement (any one)• Able to work independently Cisco NSO tool and able to understand YANG models in NSO• Or• Workflow development using Itential Automation Platform.• Or• Expert Level Knowledge in Robot Framework• Following skills needed on Network Automation• Advanced Python Programming experience is a must• Experience in any type of data modelling such as YANG, JSON, YAML, Netconf• Able to work with tools such as: GIT, GITHUB, Kubernetes, Ansible and Jenkins or other such tools• Experience in DevOps and Agile mode of working• Should be able to work in Agile mode• Should be aware of DevOps practices• Should have good understanding of software development processes• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills able to articulate technical concepts into documentation.• Excellent analytical skills,
