We have a great opportunity for a developer to join our team with strong technical and communication skills to deliver in a high performing and dynamic environmentYou will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues globally and participate in the development of global platforms.

As an experienced developer, you will join a technology team aligned to the commodities and global markets group, it is the global trading & hedging, financing and research operations within macquarieIn this position there will be a focus on technical upgrades across a large range of applications supporting the businessYou will manage multiple deliverables with a pragmatic approach and coordinate with teams across the organisation.

At macquarie we support our teams to explore and grow through experimentation, hackathons, learning and community involvement.

In this role, you will deliver and support in-house developed and market connectivity application solutions and will take part in full solution delivery lifecycleYou will work closely with the business and technical stakeholders to gather system requirements and will provide solutions to technical and businessYou will also deliver high quality and robust solutions on a timely and cost-effective basis in a demanding business environment while analysing, debugging, identifying root cause and complete the necessary corrective action to resolve a reported incident and will be a part a of an evolving devops culture and have ownership of your solutions/applications.

To be successful in this role you will have 7 to 9 years of experience in a development role with experience in the following areas:

Essential experience in java 8 and above and open source technologies
Vital experience in sql, agile development methodologies and software testing
Essential experience in linux and scripting
Experience with ci / cd tools
Good to have an experience with aws technologies
Good to have an experience with ec2, lambda, s3 and rds databases
Experience with integration technology such as jms, solace
Good to have an experience with front end java script frameworks
Financial industry experience would be highly regarded.
Basic idea about xslt language
Basic understanding of spring framework (di & ioc)
Knowledge of corba would be a plus
