What will you do?
As our business development engineer, you will be taking inbound calls and making outbound calls to implement gsi’s account based marketing strategiesThe goal of the strategy is to increase overall revenue by winning new geotechnical construction projectsOur ideal candidate will need to have a civil engineering degree and a desire to work in a business development position to start their career with gsiYou will need to have a relentless, can-do attitude and you must be comfortable working in a metrics based environmentLittle no experience is neededGsi will train youWhen gsi hires you, we believe we are hiring the next leader and everything we do is about setting you up to be personally and professionally successfulAdditionally, we offer the best total rewards in the industryWe share our success with a meaningful profit sharing plan plus medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, and a matching 401k.
What work will i be performing?
Manage high volume of daily outbound emails and calls to targeted accounts
Develop targeted call lists based upon our crm database, account-based marketing engagement data, and other 3rdparty data providers
Create personalized emails to engage targeted accounts with thoroughly researched and professional messages
Utilize social selling techniques to expand network and open new opportunities
Process unqualified inquiries through initial qualification and appointment setting
Provide exceptional customer service to inbound inquiries
Documenting all activities within crm
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders within project development, marketing communications, and engineering
Manage small existing account base to ensure retention and customer satisfaction
Assist sales leadership with additional growth related tasks as needed
Scan bid boards for projects that are good opportunities for gsi
Who do i need to bring?
Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent combination of education and technical sales experience
Minimum of 1 year of sales or lead generation experience for technical services offerings, preferably in a business-to-business setting
Excellent communication style (outgoing phone/video presence and email writing/creation)
Experience in relationship development and opportunity identification
Ability to learn/understand and articulate a value proposition concisely
Prior use of sales and marketing software (crm systems, marketing automation, account based marketing tools, 3rdparty contact providers)
Use of individual creativity and collaboration to constantly obtain personal and team goals
Strong commercial business acumen
