The firm is seeking an accounts payable specialist to work closely with our accounting team and vendors.
Responsibilities:
Input vendor invoices & credit card transactions into accounting system.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks.
Distribute signed checks as required.
Prepare garnishment checks per reports from payroll.
Act as liaison between various office locations and accounts payable.
Answer all vendor inquiries.
Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files.
Assist corporate financial officers and branch personnel as necessary.
Prepare cleared checks for storage.
Assemble and process overnight shipments to branches.
Assist in monthly closings.
Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
Perform filing and copying.
Requirements:
2+ years accounts payable experience desired
1 to 3 years related experience in a law firm
Proficient in ms outlook, word and excel; advance excel experience is a plus
Strong written, analytical, verbal and interpersonal communication sills
Ability to professionally interact with various levels of personnel
Familiarity with expert, aderant total office or other related accounts payable software programs
Must have the ability to adapt to peak quarterly workloads, new assignments and meet required deadlines
High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
