Job description:
The senior finance analyst at a regional treasury center is expected to provide technical expertise and guidance to peers as well as recommendations to manager/supervisor on treasury issues.
Incumbent will have comprehensive knowledge of caterpillar’s business and finance policies and practices, systems, processes and proceduresHe/she will apply treasury/finance knowledge to activities and will participate in and/or multifunctional teams/projects.
The incumbent will lead projects to conclusion by compiling information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing treasury solutions and will provide information and analysis used to make and/or influence business decisionsTypically, projects and decisions will impact medium to high-risk issues.
The incumbent`s treasury responsibilities are of high complexity including funding and cash management, cash forecasting, currency exposure forecasting, managing bank relations, conducting financing alternatives analysis – both corporate and dealer, analyzing financial statements, managing cash assets and bank accounts, executing currency trades, conducting business risk management, insurance and supporting trade finance.
The incumbent is capable of handling broader business issues such as delivering presentations to business unit and corporate leadership teams, working with cross-functional disciplines to solve treasury business problems, and using business acumen to support a broad range of activitiesHe/she will interface with caterpillar employees from many disciplines, customers and suppliers throughout the world.
The incumbent should demonstrate very good communication skills and has a comprehensive knowledge of their business unit, suppliers and customers.
Very minimal travel will be required.
Background/experience:
Minimum of 4 years` degree in finance, business administration or accounting is requiredCa, cfa & ctp are also welcome.
Minimum of 5 years experience in treasury & finance is required.
Candidates will have added advantage if they come with automation experience, such as powerbi and power automate.
Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, judgment and decision-making skills.
Must have the ability to work effectively and independently with people at all levels within and outside the department.
Solid project management skills and excellent team leadership, human interaction, and communications skills are necessary.
Knowledge of company policies, practices, systems and other business functions are desirable.
Must have the ability to learn and adapt quickly to a variety of work environments and circumstances.
Needs to possess strong personal computer knowledge.
