Cambium learning® group shared services cambium’s shared services teams work across all cambium businesses, providing critical support to employees and customers around the worldWe help ensure that each individual and organization we work with receives the exceptional service cambium is known for at every point in our engagementJob overview a cambium helpdesk technician will support a large education publisher’s associates helping school and teachers to help students reach their potentialThe qualified candidate will provide user support and customer service on company-supported computer applications and platformsTroubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate actionJob responsbilities
Respond to queries for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
Walk user through problem-solving process
Provide user training
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
Review and maintain written process documentation
Install and support computer hardware and software following company standards
Install and support computer peripherals for users
Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved
Gain feedback from user about computer usage
Stay current with system information, changes and updates
Inform management of recurring problems
Assist with project based work
Provide second level support for complex issues
Manage situations requiring urgent attention
Job requirements
2-5 years work related experience
Software (windows 7 & newer, mac os x, office suite, google apps)
Hardware (mac, pc, printer, scanner, voip phone, mobile devices)
Client connectivity (ethernet, tcp/ip, and vpn)
Active directory maintenance
File server knowledge
Oral and written communication skills
Customer service orientation
Problem analysis and solving
Team interaction
Attention to detail
