What you’ll do at ather ( functional responsibilities)

You will be working as an component engineer with hands-on experience of identifying alternate components for eol/ manufacturers with form fit and function analysis.

Working closely with engineering on review and recommend cost analysis improvements to existing designs

Working with sourcing on bom cleansing and standardization for correctness and completeness in orderable component data

Coordinate with engineering staff to evaluate and resolve all manufacturing issues for various products and document all procedures according to company standards

Understand project/ work scope , deliver quality output to meet expected schedule

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Good understanding on electrical/electronic components, applications & types.

Ability to understand component functionalities.

Analyze the bill of material and for supplier diversity / part standardization /& work with design engineers and supply chain to optimize the bom.

Experience in component selection based on the requirements provided by design engineers.

Collecting & validating specifications, conducting parametric analysis for all types components (active and passive and electromechanical components)

Rohs, reach and material content analysis for components

Managing approved parts list (apl) & approved vendor list (avl)

Ensure all existing and new internal part numbers and descriptions are correct.

Release engineering component prints in product life cycle management system.

Exposure to teamcenter

Should have knowledge of siliconexpert

Working experience on ecad tools will be an added advantage.

What you bring to ather

Bachelor degree in engineering in electrical/electronics engineering, 6 to 8 years of working experience as component engineer in industries
