Position Overview

• looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Technology Innovator (CTI) to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for Xiimba Ecosystem’s technological landscape across all verticals. 
• The CTI will oversee technology innovation and infrastructure development, and ensure the effective utilisation of technology to drive our mission of creating transformative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy and Innovation
• Ideation to Business Modelling- convert innovative ideas into viable business models, ensuring technological feasibility and market relevance.
• Define and communicate the overall technology strategy and vision across all verticals, aligning it with the company’s mission and objectives.
• Identify technology-enabled opportunities that can generate value across different verticals.
• Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and objectives across all eight verticals.
• Identify opportunities for technology-driven innovation, continuously explore emerging trends, and implement transformative solutions.
• Cross-Vertical Technology Leadership
• Collaborate with leaders from each vertical to understand their unique technology requirements and objectives.
• Foster a culture of cross-vertical collaboration to ensure efficient sharing of technology resources, knowledge, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to technology and business managers within each vertical, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

• Infrastructure Development and Scalability
• Oversee the development and maintenance of technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability to support the growth of each vertical.
• Financial Strategy, Budgeting, and Fundraising
• Develop and oversee the technology department’s financial strategy, including budget allocation and cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to explore fundraising opportunities and secure necessary resources for technology initiatives.
• Team Leadership and Talent Management
• Build and lead a high-performing technology team capable of delivering innovative solutions across various verticals.
• Provide mentorship, professional development, and guidance to technical teams to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Partnerships and Technology Collaborations
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, research institutions, and other external entities to enhance the technological capabilities of the ecosystem.
• Data Governance and Security
• Establish and enforce data governance policies and security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Emerging Technologies Integration:
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, and their potential applications within each vertical.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technologies for integration to enhance vertical-specific solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Prior 20+ years of experience with a proven track record of leadership and strategic management in technology-driven environments, preferably across diverse verticals.
• Deep understanding of technology trends, digital transformation, and innovation strategies.
• Experience in successfully leading large-scale technology initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technological concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and drive technological innovation.
