The financial analyst ii position is a key role within the finance team supporting the hr and global facilities organizationsThis role includes providing financial and strategic analysisIt will primarily support the corporate fp&a finance manager and the global facilities senior baIt will also partner with other members of the corporate fp&a team, the broader finance and accounting organizations, and hr/global facilities managment.

This role is an integral part of akamais corporate fp&a teamIt reports directly to the corporate fp&a finance managerThe broader team owns financial and operational analysis for akamais global functionsIt is responsible for forecasting and analysis of opex, capex, and headcount.

As a financial analyst ii, you will be responsible for:

Supporting global facilities senior ba and hr management in short and long term opex and capex forecasting
Performing monthly opex and capex budget versus forecast variance analysis, including reconciling vendor level spend
Conducting month end close activities including reviewing financial results for accuracy,and working with accounting, ap, and purchasing on any necessary adjustments
Reviewing and managing purchase orders to ensure timely invoice payments and accruals
Reporting monthly and quarterly financials; monthly headcount tracking
Conducting additional ad hoc analysis and reporting

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree or its equivalent
Be proficient with excel and microsoft suite, hyperion, and tableau
Demonstrate ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workloads with high levels of accuracy in a fact paced environment
Be a self-starter who consistently takes the initiative to address questions and build new processes/structures
Use knowledge of company policies, corporate systems, and processes to provide guidance to business partners in global facilities and hr
