At the very core: the focus of the people & culture business partner (vice president) will be to actively partner with the business leadership team to influence the health & vitality of the unit and its people with close collaboration with the people operations & talent teamsWhile reporting directly to the chief people officer, this role will be an integral part of the business unit leadership teamAt a very high level, you will be directly responsible for the following activities:
Resource planning and headcount budget management
Talent management & performance management
Coaching & mentoring of leaders
Change management & integration within shared purpose & common core values of the organization
Engagement scores of your unit
Fostering a culture focused on debi principles, standardization, consistency and parity
Facilitating integration of global locations and acquisitions thoughtfully
What you’ll do:
Partner with the bu leadership team to effectively develop, execute and facilitate succession management plans, programs and initiatives
Play a pivotal role in influencing, planning and executing a multiyear business plan
Ensure continuous organization alignment around goals & objectives by engaging with bu leaders and leading bu wide communication efforts
Facilitate cross functional collaboration in driving organizational objectives
Influence talent and workforce & resource mix strategies and be a thought leader in organizational design
Work with the core people & culture team to define the unique needs of your business from an l&d perspective
Contribute to the ongoing development of performance metrics, rewards & recognition and compensation strategies
Hold leaders accountable and be a partner and advisor in ensuring key objectives are being met
Assist in fostering partnership across functions, help in prioritization of projects and contribute actively
What will set you apart:
Advanced degree in human resources, business administration, or related fields
A highly collaborative leadership and organization development professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience in high-impact human resources/people organizations
Strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize and execute on high level people & culture programs including appropriate degree of change management
High business and financial acumen – familiarity with budget and p&l views
Experience with tech/saas, pe backed companies
Global experience
High eq and an effective collaborator with the ability to bring disparate pieces and people together
Maturity in dealing with diverse populations and leaders; an effective communicator and negotiator who can use influencing skills effectively and can maintain objectivity & independence
A desire to make an impact in a high growth, high impact organization with a forward-looking mission
A sense of curiosity to learn and someone who sees growth in change
Calm but assertive where needed; someone who is viewed as a sme with the right balance between people & business centricity
Ability to “roll up your sleeves” where needed and a relationship builder across all levels within the company
High level of comfort in dealing within matrixed organizations and navigating complexities
Ability to think clearly and express complex ideas and topics in simple straightforward ways is a must
