Job Description: Business Analyst – Requirements
Experience – Overall 6 Years at least 4 Years in BA and ServiceNow functional skill
Location – Preference Bangalore
The ServiceNow Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and documenting processes (ITIL and Non-ITIL) that are in scope for ServiceNow modules. The Business Analyst will conduct workshops and gather requirements, validate and review requirements, work closely with Solution Architects to understand the overall solution, collaborate with developers on feasibility analysis, highlight risks and gaps in requirements to the Project Manager, update scope and highlight scope creep, develop user stories, epics, and features, and assist the Project Manager in managing an agile delivery methodology. The Business Analyst will also maintain a change log for all changes in requirements, assist in developing test plans and test cases, and possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills. The Business Analyst should have a comprehensive awareness and knowledge of key modules in ServiceNow, including ITSM, ITAM, CSM, etc.
Responsibilities:
Have a clear understanding of processes (ITIL and Non-ITIL) which are in scope of ServiceNow modules, and document them accurately. Conduct workshops and perform requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to capture business and functional requirements for ServiceNow implementation projects. Validate and review requirements to ensure they are complete, accurate, and aligned with business needs and ServiceNow best practices. Work closely with Solution Architects (SA) to understand the overall solution design and provide input on functional requirements and technical feasibility. Collaborate with developers and technical teams to ensure requirements are well-understood and provide clarifications during development sprints. Highlight any risks and gaps in requirements to the Project Manager and facilitate discussions with stakeholders for resolution. Update scope documentation and highlight any scope creep or changes in requirements to the Project Manager for proper management. Develop user stories, epics, and features using Agile methodologies, and assist the Project Manager in managing the backlog and sprint planning. Maintain a change log for all changes in requirements and ensure proper documentation and communication to stakeholders. Assist in developing test plans and test cases based on requirements, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure thorough testing of ServiceNow solutions. Possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to gather requirements, provide updates, and facilitate discussions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst and 4 years in ServiceNow implementation projects. In-depth understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITAM, CSM, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and familiarity with Agile tools, such as Jira. ServiceNow certifications, such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), are a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
