Full Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:
– To ensure the sales team is provided with required quotes as per the internal pricing desk and overseas agents.
– Ensure usage of E-cargo for all updates related to sales inquiries received on a daily basis and update the quotations once the inquiry is generated.
– To Identify the prospect and potential customers from any new leads given by the sales lead/team.
– Fixing up fresh appointments to bring new business on board.
– Interacting with overseas agents for procuring competitive rates and to ensure that services are rendered to the customer’s satisfaction.
– Perform sales calls and organize client visits for sales representatives and coordinate follow-up.
– Retaining existing customers thru regular follow-up to get a handful of revenue yield from them.
– Manage quotation requests for new business and liaise with the internal transport team for the pre-and-on-carriage.
– To follow up and attempt to onboard the business after quoting rates.
– Perform data entry duties with regard to sales figures, metrics and other key data.
– Offer great post-sales support to be able to dig further referrals from existing client base.
– Sending hard copies of Invoices to the customers and following up on outstanding payments.
– Required skills/Qualification/Education/studies:
– Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, business,
or a related field.
– An understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
– Strong in customer relationship Knowledge of shipping terms and products.
– Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
– Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
– Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
– Expected to manage clients and hence important to understand customers’ specific goals and help clients achieve their desired outcomes.
– Detail-orientated and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
– Smart enough to co-ordinate with sales and other functional team in a polite manner.
– Courteous and professional with our internal and external customers
