Summary:
Under general supervision, will prepare and make payments of personal property and real estate taxWill perform various reconcilements on a monthly basis including reconciliation of principal and interest on the bank’s investment portfolioWill cross train to be backup to maintain and track company fixed assets, depreciation and work in process as well as review and reconcile all accounts related to this areaWill cross train on the daily operation of the investment accounting softwareWill also prepare a variety of daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting duties including financial statement verifications, monthly accruals, variety of account reconcilements, and general ledger maintenance and supportThe position will also work with a variety of bank subsidiaries including preparation of financial statements and reconcilementsAlso requires knowledge of financial reporting practices and standard accounting practices, and the ability to complete assignments within expected timelines.
Location:
This position is 100% remote within the bank`s footprintEmployee will work full time remote outside of a wesbanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely).

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Prepares and makes payments of personal property and real estate tax.
Backup all company fixed assets and depreciation, company leases, and assist in preparing various tax returns.
Reviews and verifies monthly internal financial statements.
Assists in preparation and verification of the annual report and quarterly filings with the sec.
Assists with internal and external auditors, as required.
Reconciles principal and interest on the bank`s investment portfolio.
Cross trains on the daily operation of the investment accounting software.
Various projects that are assigned within the accounting department.
Other requirements:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank`s policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performingYou will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Proficient in microsoft word, excel and outlook.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Bachelor`s degree (bs or ba) from four-year college or university required, accounting major preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience.
