Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the director, global talent management role will make an impact: this position is a member of our viatris global hr centers of expertise (coe) teamOur hr coes design hr strategies for the present and the future, aligning hr strategy to company strategy by leveraging insights from diverse sources to bring modern, innovative, and practical ideas to lifeCoes work collaboratively with hrbps and people solutions teams around the worldCoes develop ready to implement solutions to enable talent to perform, learn, develop, engage and achieveThe director, global talent management provides global coe thought leadership, strategic design and execution for talent management initiatives in support of our global talent programs and overall organizational development.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Leads design through implementation of key talent and leadership initiatives that strengthen capabilities and drive business priorities in areas such as performance management, talent review, talent assessment, and succession planning.
Partners with hr and business leaders to build and deliver talent management strategies and programming that enables managers to have a talent-first mindset, ensures strong succession plans, and creates a pipeline of talented future leaders.
Develops and leverages tools, processes, data, analytics, and dashboards to report on, support and inform talent management practices and workforce insights that can be translated into prioritized actions.
Shares strategies and best practices that build hr capabilities and increase consistency in utilization and application of global talent processes for the present and the future, across all talent pools and job levels.
Connects and aligns strategies, resources, and approaches across all facets of hr and other cross-functional intersections.
Champions diversity, equity and inclusion and applies a dei lens in all initiatives.
Ensures talent management programs, processes and initiatives embed equitable, inclusive practices and support the progression of achieving diversity goals.
Balances ideation with design and deliverables and can operationalize and bring coe programs to life in a highly engaging way.
Develops guidance to empower hrbps, and managers, furthering the people-first, talent-first mindset.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of a bachelor`s degree (or equivalent) and 7+ years of applicable experience requiredHowever, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Experience in a global company is desirable as well as strong business acumen for understanding business priorities, opportunities and challenges, and external influencing factors.
Must possess analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence at all levels, solve challenges and build partnerships.
Understanding of industry trends and the importance of talent in the current landscape.
This role will offer remote flexibility with a preference to be based from our canonsburg, pa headquarters or an east coast location in the united states.
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing english is required.
