Job Description

Packaging Development for R&D batches

• Study the innovator sample pack to identify the components and provide Innovator sample characterization report to DDRL Team leads post approval.
• Conduct analysis through chemical testing/ visual inspection/ IR analysis as applicable
• Generate & evaluate options for the packaging material for R & D batches (based on the product characteristics shared by the formulator)
• Assist in assessing the availability of materials internally
• Provide required support for vendor qualification

Packaging & Stability

• Evaluate & present options of packaging materials to Team Leader during formulation development stability studies; and support the process of vendor qualification & procurement of PM as applicable. Review and sign off the stability protocol of development batches for routine stability studies.
• Initiate the Approved Packaging BOM as required for the packaging of the products for Exhibit/Submission batches.

Batch packing at site

• Calculate the quantity of packing material required for Pilot batches, assessment & exhibit/Submission batches
• Plan, order & track the materials for Pilot batches, assessment and exhibit//Submission batches .
• Complete the necessary documentation for the batches
• Follow up on execution of packaging process at plant
• Execute bottle packaging in Pilot lab as per approved BPR.
• Test functionality of products where required

Vendor Qualification

• Test PM samples (at External analytical lab) & review report thereof
• Initiate Change Control to obtain vendor approval from CQA
