Essential duties and responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Work with multiple infrastructure and application teams to create and support infrastructure as code solutions and support day to day operations in public cloud infrastructure
Design and drive adoption for devop practices with a focus on infrastructure as code that will influence public cloud deployments
Design technical solutions that align with progressive technology adoption and business continuity strategy as necessary to support customer sla’s
Constantly review, improve, and enhance existing processes and policies to promote a culture of technological innovation
Publish accessible framework and iac solutions that can be implemented across multiple technology stacks within compute, network, and storage domains in public cloud settings
Create and maintain clear, consistent, and accurate documentation of iac standards, initiatives, and toolsets
Perform all tasks within security, governance, and compliance standards and guidelines
Qualifications
Required qualifications/skills:
Overall 12+ year experience , with minimum of 7 years working with public cloud technologies
Minimum of 5 years of designing and implementing infrastructure as code solutions for public clouds
Experience in the migration of saas delivery infrastructure from private cloud to public cloud environments
In depth knowledge of infrastructure as code delivery tools such as terraform, ansible
Strong knowledge of hierarchal terraform designs and custom module deployments
Knowledge of git platforms for code repository functions and version control as it pertains to infrastructure as code
Knowledge of private and public networking solutions such as routing, switching, load balancing, and dns
Knowledge of private and public compute solutions such as host configurations, vmware, and gce
Knowledge of private and public storage solutions such as netapp, blob storage, and life cycle management
Proficiency in analyzing and defining business processes with stakeholder and change management
Knowledge of cost optimization/resource optimization best practices
Knowledge of how to natively monitor, log, and alert on public cloud performance and stability issues with a focus on consistent quality control of public cloud deployments
Must be a self starter that is able to work without heavy supervision and guide team members across multiple disciplines
Required qualifications/skills:
Gcp associate cloud engineer or professional cloud network engineer/cloud security engineer/cloud devops engineer certification
Hashicorp certified terraform associate certification
Bacehlors’s degree in computer science, it, software engineering or equivalent work experience
Deep understanding of sdlc and agile methodologies
Exceptional written & communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Problem-solving expertise
