The work schedule for this position is: Full Time – 40 hours per week

Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in General Services Office (GSO), U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent will provide all types of physical support services mission wide. S/he will report to the GSO – Property Management Office. S/he will mainly perform GSO property warehouse duties, which include delivery/pick-up and loading/un-loading of furniture, equipment, and other office items such as supplies of both expendable and non-expendable nature. S/he will also be responsible for performing general housekeeping duties such as cleaning/ mopping of floors at the warehouse and at Government owned residences and leased residences while laying down of furniture during make ready season and to dust of the furniture stored in warehouse stock locations. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned. The incumbent should have the ability to lift 25 kg’s of weight comfortably.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE: This position requires one years of full time experience as a warehouseman or in a manual job such as moving, loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, or cleaning.

This position requires successful completion of Primary School (Class V).

Level 2 (Limited) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.
Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is required.
Please attach a copy of the valid Indian driving license with the application along with all the mandatory/required documents. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.
Please note: U.S. Government regulations require all Chauffeurs or Incidental drivers for official vehicles to be 25 years of age or older. We will not consider candidates below 25 years of age. Any applicant that possess a valid driving license issued for less than 5 years will not be considered. Please note 5 years should have been completed by the Closing date of the vacancy. If the applicant had renewed their driver’s license they must include copy of old and current driver’s license in order for HR to confirm the issuance date. Applicants not providing old and renewed driver’s license (if applicable) their application will not be considered for the position.

Benefits and Other Info
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
