Duties
Serves as Locally Employed Staff Purchasing Agent in the General Services Office Procurement section. Incumbent procures a full range of goods and services for the federal agencies at the U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai under the International Cooperative Administrative Service Standard (ICASS). Procures locally, offshore and U.S. sources, utilizing all sanctioned methods including the Internet and purchase cards. Provides a variety of supplies and services utilizing contracts, purchase order, purchase card, blanket purchase agreement, delivery task orders and petty cash.
Incumbent makes purchases using the purchase card from overseas and on-line vendors and performs eFiling. Reconciles the purchase card statements every month. Conducts market surveys to keep up to date on current availability of products and pricing. Assists cleared American personnel with secure random procurement from local sources by providing vendor information. Incumbent is supervised by the Procurement Supervisor.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible, professional acquisition/procurement experience is required. Please describe your previous and current job responsibilities in detail.
Key Requirements:
Two years of college studies is required.
Three years of professional acquisition/procurement experience is required.
English, Hindi and Marathi language is required.

Education Requirements:
Two (2) years of college studies is required. Please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required. Good working knowledge (speaking and reading) in Hindi is required. Limited knowledge (speaking and reading) in Marathi is required. This may be tested. Please specify in your application your level of proficiency in each language listed here.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
