Duties
The Incumbent is responsible for the receipt, disbursement, accountability, examination and safekeeping of USD 10,000. The cashier is accountable to the US Disbursing Officer (USDO) at the Global Financial Services Centre in Bangkok for the cash advance ( $10,000) authorized inclusive of both US Dollars and local currency ( Indian Rupees). This position provides cashier services for all the USG sections , agencies at post ( STATE, FCS, OBO, PAS, FAS, CDC, USAID etc.) and high level visitors requiring range of cashiering services off-site. The principle cashier is also responsible for maintaining posts checking account. The cashier administers cash advances to the sub-cashier at post. Administratively the cashier reports to the American Management Officer at Post. The incumbent is also required to perform vouchering functions, which involves examining a variety of difficult and complicated invoices and other requests for payment of goods and services against various purchase orders, contracts, agreement and other documents of commitments.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: At least 3 (three) years of accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility in book-keeping, handling cash and cashier operations is required. Please describe your previous and current job responsibilities in detail.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Business) is required. Please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required. Good working knowledge (speaking) in Hindi is required. This may be tested. Please specify in your application your level of proficiency in each language listed here.
