Job description
What you will do: responsible for the sale of transamerica products on a national levelManage a team of divisional sales managers (dsms) and regional vice presidents (rvps) responsible for day-to-day wholesaling activities.

What success looks like:
Meet annual sales goal for designed products.
Build relationships and create business development opportunities on behalf of transamerica.
Manage assigned dsms and wholesaling team.
Set annual budgeted sales goals for the product lineManage dsms and wholesalers to meet goals; develop contingency plans as needed.
Travel regularly with rvps in the channel to provide coaching on sales effectiveness.
Assume responsibility for hiring rvps and dsms.
Review and monitor rvp and dsm activity reports and sales results; work collaboratively with the senior sales management team to maximize wholesaling resources.
Review and monitor rvp and dsm activity reports and oversee use of regional budgets by rvps and dsms; approve exceptions to budget expenditure limits and ensure total expenditures are within budget.
Build and maintain relationships within distribution to promote and manage sales initiatives.
Develop productive relationships with key senior management of distribution partners.
Work jointly with the executive managing director to manage a specific channel p/l to work within budgeted actual to allowable.
Represent broker/dealer at conferences and conventions; manage meeting/event planning and coverage within the division.
Work jointly with marketing in the design of marketing and sales materials in servicing channel accounts.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experience
Ten year of sales experience in the financial services industry, including five years managing financial product wholesalers.
Finra series 6 and 63
Life license
Excellent written/oral communication and relationship building skills
Preferred qualifications:
Finra series 24
Working conditions:
Work remote from home.
Extensive travel.

Compensation
The annual rate for this position generally starts at $225,000This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by lawThe range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by colorado equal pay transparency rule 4.1.2.
Bonus eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the company bonus plan/individual performance and is at company discretion at a rate of 40%
Commissions:
This position may be eligible to earn commissions targeted at $350,000 annually paid on monthly sales based on applicable sales incentive plan(s)All details pertaining to the calculation and payment of those commissions are available in the individual provisions of the sales incentive plan that applies.
