Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
· Monitor the IN/PH sourcing and supplier process activities by connecting with the appropriate stakeholders in IN/PH and escalate any supplier or process risks to the Supplier Risk Oversight Leader
· Provide 2LOD opinions on new and renewals of India/Philippine supplier engagements.
· Perform research to support continuous monitoring of Supplier Inherent Risk Surveys, Supplier Risks and Issues, Supplier Evaluations, and Deal Approvals
· Assist with SRO concurrent and targeted reviews by gathering and analyzing data against established control objectives.
· Maintain an inventory of 2LOD SRO identified caveats and process enhancement considerations, obtain periodic updates from the business and track these to closure.
· Maintain an understanding of Source To Pay processes, including the Source To Pay system Coupa to assist with providing 2LOD effective challenge on process risks and enhancements.
· Provide support to Risk Management Function Supplier Managers, monitor supplier manager activities and follow up with supplier managers on overdue activities, assist with functional validations (Risk function) of supplier manager activities to ensure compliance with Supplier Management Program requirements.
· Apply a ‘risk based’ approach to evaluate the current Synchrony supplier base, including but not limited to risks with; shared data, service levels, contract terms, 4th party data and supplier concentrations.
· Perform other duties and/or special projects in supplier risk oversight as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with minimum 4+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry; OR in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry.
· Minimum of 1 year of experience working in Operational Risk, audit or other risk functions within a bank or financial services company.
· Intermediate to advance proficiency with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
· Need to be flexible to work in US shifts.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
