Senior product engineer – power electronics

Key accountabilities:

Own the design and development of power electronics subsystems in a new, affordable mri system.
Understanding the system requirement and developing the electrical design specifications.
Circuit topology and component selection.
Circuit simulation using pspice, matlab, psim.
Design of transformer and inductor magnetics.
Pcb schematic creation and support to cda team for pcb design.
Preparation of hdd, fmea and verification procedures (both module and system level).
Pwb assembly and testing.
Prototype integration, functional testing, and validation, troubleshooting.

Experience and skills required:

Qualification required : graduate / post graduate in electrical / electronic engineering or associated branches
Relevant experience : 8 to 12 years
Hands on experience on modelling, simulation and prototype development of dc/dc and dc/ac converters.
Understanding of the control development for power converters (pi, pid).
Work closely with internal, external collaborators and suppliers to make iterative improvements to the prototypes.
Participate and contribute to technical design reviews.

Desired characteristics:

Master’s degree in power electronics.
Experience in design/development of resonant converters.
Ability to work independently with limited or no hand holding.
Knowledge of iec 60601 and related medical device standards.
Experience in leading various analog, control system & high voltage power electronics design for medical application.
Experience in emi/emc compliant design procedures.
Strong communication skills.
