Summary
The director of brand management: personal care & home is responsible for driving shaklee’s personal care and home line product innovation strategy and product launches aligned with brand, r&d, finance, legal, operations and salesPartners with key stakeholders to gain consumer insights and collaborates with pr, digital marketing, field and brand to develop successful launch plans.
The candidate will manage the development and commercialization of the new product pipeline and oversee the health and productivity of the existing skincare, body and home product linesYou will partner closely with numerous functional areas to define the new product project scope, ensure on-time delivery of project milestones and mitigate risks associated with delivery of the product briefThe role also manages cross-functional teams to ensure the business is on track to meet the company`s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
Own the youth skincare, shaklee essentials and get clean home product portfolios.
Lead product development pipeline strategy in partnership with director of science & innovation by leveraging insights and analytics in support of brand strategy, market trends and growth objectives; ensure robust pipeline with 3-year roadmap
Determine white space opportunities and develop innovation based on findings from consumer insights and analytics; design roadmap to enable future of new product launches
Oversee and manage the new product launch process, keeping it to agreed timing plan, and work collaboratively with all teams to ensure alignment and consistency of message across all consumer touch points and best in class launch execution
Responsible for articulating product positioning, naming, benefits, developing concept and launch tools leveraging innovation and creativity for each launch of the calendar year
Ensure strong product differentiation by exploring new product forms, new and remarkable packaging ideas delivered with exemplary execution
Lead new customer acquisition strategies (i.eSamples, trial and sets)
Maintain overarching portfolio of existing products, determining lifecycle and identifying optimization opportunities
What you’ll do
Oversee the development and maintenance of our skincare, personal care and green home products from innovation through to commercialization
Partner with contract manufacturers and internal r&d teams to develop and commercialize new products
Provide leadership visibility to opportunities and risk for new products in development and products in market
Own launch and productivity on new and existing products
Drive to the stage-gate process to ensure clarity of project scope and identification of key deliverables
Work with analytics team to provide seasonal forecasts to optimize sales and profits
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and report out to cross-functional partners
Study demand patterns and gaps for product categories to suggest introduction of new product and exit plan for under performing skus
Ensures packaging, imagery, and copy is correct for products
Works with sales to identify and develop successful sku level promotions and tools
Works with education and science team to develop prouct training and sales tools
Partners with cross-functional team to write briefs to creative for emails blasts, inclusive of new product introductions, category features, and promotions
Ensures schedules are met and messaging ties to objectives
Other related duties, as required and assigned.
Capabilities + skills required
5-10 years experience in beauty, body, home and/or dietary supplement product development
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field; mba preferred
Proven track record of leading the development of products from ideation through commercialization
Adept at assessing and implementing processes to improve efficiency within the functional area
Experience working with tight deadlines and the need to constantly multi-task and prioritize
Strong attention to detail with organizational, project management and time management skills
Strong business acumen and financial fluency
