Job description:
We are looking for a senior control firmware engineer with experience in embedded power control firmware development with expertise in control engineering and power electronics, for the application of online ups (uninterruptible power supply) and iot devices.
What will you do?

Architecting embedded control strategy, formulating specifications and implementation control firmware for pfc, chargers, dc/dc and inverter etc.
Board bring up experience, device driver development for can, i2c, spi etc..
Proves design concepts through a combination of computer simulation and physical laboratory implementation/testing
Own/define embedded firmware roadmap.
Define and guide firmware development and release.
Develop firmware specification from requirements.
Provide high level firmware design, define the roles of each subsystem.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to the firmware team.
Approve low level designs and review of firmware implementation.
Participate the design and product review meetings with stake holders.
Build relationship with outside vendors and consultants and ensure ecosystem alignment with se product roadmap.
Collaborate with other overseas professionals for product development.

What qualifications will make you successful?

5+ years proven experience developing power electronics products
Knowledge and skills (pfc, chargers, dc/dc and inverter etc..):
Programming experience in assembly/c/c++ for 32 bit controllers/dsp’s
Programming experience in rtos environments like uc os-ii or other platforms (preferable)
Experience in developing control systems for power inverters/converters.
Proficient in understanding the schematics and debugging hardware issues
Experience in industrial field bus communication protocols like modbus / can and protocols like usb, tcp/ip and embedded webservers.
Experience in developing iot devices using wireless product using etherenet, wireless protocols (e.g., wi-fi, zigbee, bluetooth, lora…).
Experience in developing software tools and simulation to support product development.
Bs/ms degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent.
Strong embedded c or c++ skillsEmbedded linux skills are a plus.
Familiar with version control systems – subversion, git.
Familiar with python script language.
Familiar with data structures and design patterns for writing high quality code.
Familiar with power control architecture and simulation using psim/plece/matlab simulink.
