Position summary:

The successful candidate will deep dive into samsung connected-things eco system, define novel product concept and prototype, and solve the challenging problems with a combination of techniques in artificial intelligence (ai), mobile computing and security & privacyYou are expected to research on and develop algorithms and models and will work with other team members to build the next-generation commercial product and service that will greatly improve productivity, user experience and securityYou will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies and build them into real-world products that serve billions of enterprise and consumer users in their daily usages.

Responsibilities:

Identify and define technical problems for new/existing samsung knox products and services
Develop machine/deep learning based tools and solution through data processing (acquisition/cleaning/augmentation) and model development (training/validation)
Develop proof-of-concept technology demonstrations and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance and robustness
Work in team to deploy and commercialize the solution

Basic qualifications:

Ms or phd in computer science, electrical & computer engineering, mathematics or relevant fields with a curriculum focused on machine/deep learning
3+ years research or work experience in developing machine/deep learning solutions for real-world use cases
Prior experience of optimizing deep learning based solutions for resource-constrained devices
Proficiency in model development/validation/implementation for deep learning
Highly self-motivated, can work independently and also collaboratively

Preferred qualifications:

Strong passion in explore new technologies and be always ready to accept new challenges
Expertise in optimizing deep learning models deployed on resource-constraint devices
Experience in building facial authentication solution on mobile is highly preferred
Experience in object detection/recognition/segmentation, image/video analysis , ar/vr, slam and etc
Experience in nlp related technology such as ner and knowledge graph
Experience in log analysis, anomaly detection is a plus
Publication record in top venues in related fields

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

This position will be performed in an office settingThe position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
