Objective of this positionWe are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join our Team at SGRI, someone actively involved in conducting user research and consumer research activity. Manage a wide range of qualitative and quantitative studies across geography applying User Research methodologies and Consumer research skills to identify long-term and short-term plans. You will be responsible for all aspects of research – Scoping, Planning, Recruiting, Moderation, Analysis and Reporting.
Should possess real world experience in handling variety of methodologies to reveal rich actionable customer insights and influence the business stakeholders by advocating the user requirements in the product. You will play a major role in managing the team of user researchers and build a roadmap of competency development.Key accountabilitiesShould have strong observational skills, user empathy and ability to highlight opportunity areas through qualitative as well as quantitative research methodology.Ability to be familiar with the latest research techniques, create user research strategies and solutions enabling to translate research output into effective customer centric, action-driving recommendations.Enable people, mechanisms, and strategies that set user research in motion. If required work with external research agencies and help unify all the research efforts.Build relationships with cross-functional teams to understand their challenges and priorities, define a research roadmap, and drive actions through insight delivery.Standardizing research methodologies and support documentation (e.g., framework, scripts, templates,
and consent forms) to save time and enable consistent application across teams.One who can independently plan and execute research projects & own topical expertise with minimum supervision.Build strategy to use Data Analytics tools in primary research, build data literacy and reduce dependency on analytics team to guide our design decisions.Managing user-research insights and making data accessible throughout the team and the organization.Comfortable with ambiguity, comfortable in handling multiple assignments simultaneously.Effective storyteller, ability to creatively articulate insights, represent user perspectives in business level decisions.Working with managers as required,
to devise appropriate research strategies to generate focused insights and to convert concepts into high quality stimulus materials.Working closely with Junior Researcher, Designers and Developers to turn user data into actionable product/service requirements. Training and developing them to acquire/improve their primary skills.Implement quick but thorough data analysis to create insightful and actionable findings, build presentations- both verbal and written. Present findings, business recommendations and customer insights to senior managers and business leaders.Established Market Research competency to provide impactful insights for great consumer experiences.Possess the ability to understand what customers look for in a product and evaluate product safety, appearance,
and functionalities.Ability to customize and adopt best practices of user & market research / methodology based on specific project requirements from various business needs.Should build working relationships with multiple BUs to support and facilitate specific needs through design related activity for radical innovation.Education8+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as Market Research, Customer Insights or Consulting.MBA with qualitative & quantitative research background (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience).Must be an Insights & Analytics expert with strong team management skills.Should have demonstrable portfolio of work that reflects the breadth & depth of skills as a Market/User Researcher.Skills and KnowledgeShould be able to manage at least three significant projects simultaneously,
which may require the expertise in primary research with effective project planning.Instrumental in translating insights into innovations & development.Should have hands on experience on trend forecasting assignments and conducting ethnographic research.Organization and time management, commercial awareness, communication skills, team working, relationship-building, and influencing skills.For this role Portfolio review showcasing depth/ breadth of skill is mandatory during interview. Your presentation should cover application of a user-centered Qual and Quant study, as well as showcase your skills as a storyteller.
