The system analyst will be responsible for leading it end user experience – shared service initiatives which include, but are not limited to windows operating system upgrades, workstation inventory management and deployment, asset lifecycle management and remediation, and rockwell it’s pc-as-a-service programThis position will also drive technology innovation in their respective area of influenceWork closely with our business partners to understand their business roadmaps and how it can partner with them to make right it choices and decisions in support of their business.
Responsibilities
Manage relationship with pc-as-a-service vendor including ensuring fulfillment activities are executed as per forecasts, and within service level agreement expectations
Forecast global workstation deployment needs for all new hires, end users with approaching warranty expirations, and ad-hoc endpoint device ordering
Create support knowledge base articles and scripts for level one -service desk personnel to manage end user inquiries and issues related to workstation support needs
Work with end user experience architects to design standard workstation models to accommodate evolving needs for each rockwell employee type/persona.
Manage pc-as-a-service budget and reconcile monthly spend against forecasts
Plan and manage all windows operating system upgrades, including staying abreast of all major os version features and enhancements, participating in version evaluation pilots, collecting and analyzing pilot findings, os upgrade program management, organizational change and communications management, and hypercare support
Act as escalation point for any pc-as-a-service purchasing issues
Establish and cultivate relationships with stakeholders to create and support the incident, problem, change, request management processes
Provide status updates to it leadership and customers on current it issues and actions being taken
Ensure services are implemented and/or enhanced within project scope, schedule, and budget commitments.
Focus on continuous improvement of it and business processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or business administration or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Legal authorization to work in the us is requiredWe will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Preferred qualifications
This position typically requires at least 2 years of experience as a desktop engineer in a global organization.
Typically requires at least 2 years of experience with forecasting pc demand across a med-large global enterprise
Strong experience in managing and reconciling monthly spend against it budget
Experienced in program/project management, particularly with managing os upgrades and endpoint device procurement
High-level knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, application development
Experience working with microsoft sccm and microsoft intune for endpoint device management
Experience working with customers in a service desk environment or other it support organization
Experience managing it project budgets
Experience using the service now itsm tool and the itil foundation framework to manage all it incidents, problems, and changes
Ability to troubleshoot desktop hardware and software issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management
