Radiology Informatics Technical Consultant
Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to support Philips as a Technical Consultant. Technical Consultants are primarily responsible for assisting project managers with designing complex system solutions and resolving technical issues related to implementing IntelliSpace PACS. They help determine hardware sizing recommendations, develop networking and integration strategies, and resolve technical barriers in order to realize the desired business goals for the project(s) while driving strong customer satisfaction. Technical Consultants are given assignments by the Senior Manager of implementations.
Responsibilities
- Collect requirements to determine appropriate hardware sizing for system solution design.
- Collaborate with Philips and customer IT resources to recommend clear network strategies.
- Troubleshoot general system configuration at both the platform and application levels.
- Generate physical and logical solution diagrams for project managers and customers, including key components of the system along with associated data flows.
- Technical liaison/support for customer calls with project manager.
- Research defects listed in release notes and collaborate with engineering to determine impact based on customer requirements.
- Provide guidance on data migration strategies.
- Collaborate with other technical resources to advise project manager on risk mitigation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to deliver the product and services to the field more efficiently and effectively.
- Stay abreast of changes to hardware and software solutions.
- Adjust work schedule to support various time zones.
Your Team
You will report directly to the Senior Manager of implementation. The Enterprise Imaging, Project Services team is part of Philips Healthcare Informatics, Solutions & Services (HISS) division. This position is remote, based in a home office anywhere in the continental Unites States. The Enterprise Imaging business is currently headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Expected travel: Up to 25%.
We are looking for
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, other related field, or equivalent combination of academic and work experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in healthcare information technology or equivalent combination of related experience and education – experience in radiology or cardiology informatics, or similar domain preferred
- Strong analytical capacity with excellent diagnostic skills.
- Strong knowledge of the following:
- Hardware solutions.
- Virtual computing environments.
- Databases – SQL Server or equivalent.
- Networking solutions.
- Basic knowledge of the following:
- DICOM and HL7.
- Clinical workflows.
- Experience in customer service delivery with a focus on project management.
- Ability to complete tasks on-time independently with minimal guidance.
- Superb customer service skills, including high-level professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
