JOB TITLE: IT MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the hosting and cloud services team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Develop and implement the overall hosting and cloud strategy, in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and project management, to identify hosting and cloud requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of hosting and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to hosting and cloud services, particularly in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Evaluate and recommend new hosting and cloud technologies, tools, and services that can enhance operational efficiency and improve business outcomes.
• Define and enforce hosting and cloud policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations, contracts, and performance evaluations, to ensure effective service delivery and cost optimization.
• Monitor and analyze hosting and cloud service metrics, such as performance, availability, capacity, and costs, and take appropriate actions to optimize performance and resource utilization.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the hosting and cloud services team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• The ideal candidate for the Hosting & Cloud Manager role should have a broad range of technical skills and experience in the following areas:
• Hybrid Data Centers: A strong understanding of hybrid data center architectures, including the integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud services. Experience in designing, implementing, and managing hybrid data center solutions is crucial.
• Serverless: Proficiency in serverless computing concepts and platforms, such as Azure Functions or AWS Lambda. Ability to develop and deploy serverless applications, leverage event-driven architectures, and optimize resource utilization.
• Containers: In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in container orchestration, deployment, and management to facilitate scalability, portability, and efficient resource utilization.
• SDWAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network): Expertise in SDWAN solutions, including design, deployment, and optimization of software-defined networking for wide area networks. Ability to enhance network performance, security, and reliability while reducing costs.
• AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations): Familiarity with AIOps concepts and tools that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to automate IT operations, enhance monitoring and analytics, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access): Knowledge and experience in implementing ZTNA frameworks and solutions that enforce strict access controls, authentication, and authorization mechanisms, ensuring secure remote access to resources.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Ability to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Hybrid Cloud Storage: Experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud storage solutions, integrating on-premises storage with cloud storage services. Understanding of data migration, synchronization, and data management strategies in hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to establish and manage budgets for hosting and cloud services, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or security.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics related to hosting and cloud services.
• Evaluate the financial impact of new hosting and cloud technologies, tools, and services, considering factors such as return on investment (ROI) and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Collaborate with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable pricing and terms for hosting and cloud services, while keeping budgetary constraints in mind.
• Conduct regular reviews of hosting and cloud service expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction or optimization.
• Manage financial forecasting and planning for hosting and cloud services, anticipating future needs and aligning budget allocations accordingly.
• Apply problem-solving skills and critical thinking to address technical challenges, operational issues, and financial constraints, proactively identifying solutions and implementing effective strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical and operational problems, leveraging both technical expertise and a strategic mindset.
• Analyze data and metrics related to hosting and cloud services, identify patterns or anomalies, and develop proactive measures to prevent or mitigate potential issues.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in hosting and cloud services, applying innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) in managing hosting and cloud services in a multinational organization, preferably within the EPC industry.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, including Azure infrastructure, virtualization, networking, security, and management tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and deployment models.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute hosting and cloud strategies aligned with business goals.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of technical professionals.
