We are seeking an empathetic design operations manager to join our cross-functional design studio to reimagine the omni-channel communications experienceWe are looking for someone to lead the daily operations of our design teamYou will be a partner to a variety of talent including interaction designers, content strategists, researchers and our product and technology partners by managing workload, setting priorities, and troubleshooting any barriers that arise throughout the design processYou will work closely with all these teams to build and improve digital experiences while ensuring high quality, thoughtful, customer centered designs are delivered to our users.

Primary responsibilities:
Work side-by-side with designers, writers, and content strategies to understand their needs and foster teams’ success
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to have a constant understanding of priorities and ensure that design is well aligned
Establish standards (scoping, tracking, reviews, follow up) and ensure team deliverables are met
Host project discovery, sprint planning, and other agile activities, and ensure alignment on key components and timelines
Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
Identify feature duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectives
Advocate for the members of the team to provide an excellent working environment
Create and maintain a source of truth for design project status
Serve as the point-of-contact for tracking and reporting on projects and initiatives, blockers, risks, and dependencies

Required qualifications:
5+ years of experience in design operations or design project management
5+ years of experience working with multiple teams and competing priorities
5+ years of experience working with product and/or design teams
2+ years of experience using resource management and agile project management tools
2+ years of experience working with or on agile technology or design teams
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working in healthcare
Experience working with or on agile teams including planning to support roadmaps, capacity, and sprint planning
Experience working in a large corporate environment
Excellent resource management skills
Proven track record of driving change in a large, complex matrixed environment even amid ambiguous circumstances
Bias toward action and innovative big-picture thinking while improving processes and optimizing operations
Ability to foster collaboration and create relationships with individuals on and outside of your direct team
Willing to learn, pivot and grow
Ability to drive a team and business leaders on all initiative phases including achieving clarity on scope and deliverables
