The position
The primary role of the Project Associate is to be the bridge and primary point of contact for timely planning and execution of strategic initiatives,
together with the unit head and associated departments of GMA BLR. These are based on identified and agreed needs to fulfil objectives on departmental and/or project level(s). An ideal candidate will be responsible for defining project scope, establish SMART goals, expected deliverables, stakeholder mapping, budget management and follow-up on the agreed milestones and deliverables. The Project Associate is expected to be responsible for identifying & driving opportunities, people development, process improvements and culture-focused projects of a strategic nature across the GMA BLR unit.
The position is also responsible for facilitating cross-functional collaboration opportunities across various functional units in the Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS). The candidate will play a crucial role in liaising with key stakeholders, building strong and effective relationships to ensure successful collaboration.
The role will require you to own and drive the logistics and administration activities surrounding the mobilization of our strategic priorities, the yearly budget cycle and challenge meetings, employee engagement activities and resource management processes.
The Project Associate will also work on/ help the Project Office with the development of meeting and decision materials, conduct meetings, workshops and events, document outcomes and follow-up with the responsible stakeholders. The Project Associate will be working closely with the Manager of Project office, GMA BLR and this position requires one to be highly self-motivated, proactive, organized and have a passion for data, insights and metrics. The candidate is expected to be proficient in dealing with vendors, challenging content,
budget management and flexibility in working across multiple time zones.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. 3-5 years of experience in a similar industry is preferred in both local and global roles. Demonstrates strong project management skills, including budget management, vendor management, flexibility towards difference in time zones, and internal and external stakeholder management. Exposure to planning, driving, and successfully implementing/executing projects and a track record of working as a team player. Good data interpretation and representation skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite and enterprise tools. Good presentation making and delivery skills are a must. A self-driven and strategic thinker who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in using project management tools and familiarity with project and portfolio management methodologies. Managing tight deadlines and changing priorities energizes you, and you quickly analyze complex situations, synthesize large amounts of information, and concisely articulate your thoughts. A “Can do” attitude and advanced problem-solving skills.

The Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore (GMA BLR) team is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich, based in Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated scientific and medical advisors,
project managers, medical illustrators, and publication managers.
