Responsibilities
The digital network operations center (dnoc) is nbcuniversal’s 24/7 operation predicated on supporting the enterprise product portfolio and ensuring content distribution through the entire concept to cash supply chain; the product portfolio includes the centralized content fulfillment supply chain for long form and shorform, the scheduling systems driving playout for the linear channels and vod fulfillment across d2c, enterprise content management (rights, titles, etc) systems, and the products enabling ad insertion across digital experiencesThe dnoc provides proactive monitoring and quick issue resolution across the entire portfolio.
As director of enterprise product ops and support, you will lead direction, innovation, and strategy for how operational support is provided across the product portfolioYou will develop the strategy to ensure complete visibility throughout the c2c supply chain, enhance existing workflows, define and grow the organization, ensure reliable delivery on client slas/expectations, and lead cross functional teams to design, build, and launch new tools required for the team to effectively execute each dayAs the face of technical operations to internal clients, partners and in some circumstances the public, this team plays a key role of liaison and escalation point of contact on behalf of nbcuniversal and you will be responsible for ensuring the team represents technical operations and the company in the proper wayYou will be partnering with clients and internal teams to work on strategic initiatives aimed at increased reliability, productivity, and growthFinally, you will also be accountable for measuring and driving increased quality across the enterprise product portfolio, by leading monthly ops reviews that leverage key metrics, trends, and analysis of the production issues that the dnoc handles across the products.
Qualifications/requirements
Manage the operations and support organization comprised of managers, supervisors, specialists, coordinators, and project managers
Propose & develop organizational structure to fit our evolving business and recruit accordinglyMentor and expand the team to meet the support and operational needs of the growing product portfolio
Manage opex and headcount budgets, feed input into yearly long range planning/budget planning cycle
Lead integration efforts of new products from a process and architectural perspective into the enterprise support model in coordination with the product and operations teams.
Develop and oversee the strategic vison across the dnoc organization
Serve as subject matter expert across the tech ops product portfolio from a support and operations perspective – have an in depth understanding of the architecture and functionality across the product suite
Engage with multiple clients/business units/internal stakeholders on large, cross product initiatives to understand the workflows and support needs that need to be taken on then lead the team to build the necessary sops and on boarding plan
Lead monthly operational reviews for leadership team
Partner with the product team to provide reliability metrics and feedback on the product stack and influence roadmapt to build more stable/resilient products as well as adding in functionality need to improve support team’s ability to triage/resolve issues faster
Lead a group of project managers responsible for coordinating internal live steam events and managing cross product intiatives such as e2e testing, product launches, etc

Desired characteristics
Minimum 5+ year in a operational or support based role, preferably digital operations or product support
Minimum 5+ years of experience with in television/broadcast, media, technology, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience leading a support team to effective issue resolution
Prior experience using jira or comperable ticketing systems strongly preferred
Minimum 3-5 year experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
Willingness and ability to work or be on call at any time, sometimes on short notice in order to support a 24/7/365 operation
Must be willing to work at englewood cliffs, nj
