The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professional’s trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.
Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across FID and Institutional Equities Division (IED) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the Japan FID Sales Team. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, pro-active and self-motivated person to assist the team in day-to-day activities.
The pace of the desk demands that you complete each task promptly with a high degree of accuracy. Also, the ability to organize your time and complete each task on time will be a key factor in determining your suitability for the role.
Job Description
Capture the trades of Fixed Income and Derivatives, and confirm the accuracy of sales trade bookings
Prepare the preliminary confirmations for derivative trade such as Bond options on behalf of Sales.
Work with Sales and Operations for the quick resolution of trade/settlement related issues.
Maintenance of propriety databases and input the data such as trade details and clients.
Help preparing presentations for internal/external meetings
Other ad-hoc tasks including administrative tasks in order to support Tokyo FID activities
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills required (essential)
2+ year experience in FID business/operations with basic knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivative products would be preferable.
Ability to multi-task
Must have strong attention to details
Proactiveness towards learning and executing tasks
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Fluency in Japanese language would be preferred.
Work timing: 5.30am IST to 2.30pm IST (negotiable)
