Job purpose
The pmo analyst ii will collect data and prepare organization-wide it project status analysis and reportingThis role will report directly to the it manager and will oversee the program and project control of all it business application project management of the organizationThis role will be a key driver for the direction of the it project, providing an analytical evaluation while pushing industry business standards.
Being a pmo analyst ii coordinates efforts to optimize cross-project resourcesAssists the individual project participants with resources and guidance for documentation, training, and best practicesIn addition, pmo analyst ii participates in the financial auditing and assessment of completed it projects and the development of future it project roadmaps.
The it pmo analyst ii will also serve as a business consultant, evaluating and recommending technological alternatives, solutions, and enhancements to business processes.

Job duties and responsibilities
Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skillsAs an it pmo analyst with modular, you’ll be responsible for:
Assists the it manager in preparing and responsible for executing the 2-year business applications/systems project rolling plan.
Work with the it manager to perform cost-benefit and roi analyses, determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations.
Gather and analyze user business needs, requirements and translate them to it requirements and recommendations.
Prepare and implement project plans including the definition of scope, requirements, objectives, acceptance criteria, risk management, resource allocation, task schedules, and milestones.
Plan and coordinate it project activities and resources to ensure project goals are completed on time, within budget, and with the defined quality; interact with customers both internal and external to gather project requirements and act as the liaison between customer and the project team.
Create and maintain issue and risk logs and manage their resolution.
Provides user and technical support to the project team and business areas on project management tools and standards.
Deliver it projects on time, within budget, and meeting the strategic and business objectives.
Performs change management to affected stakeholders as part of introducing/implementing new solutions or major improvements/changes.
Manage teams of internal and contracted resources to deliver it systems support and new it solutions.
Interface with multiple teams and individuals, senior management, users, subject matter experts, and external vendors/partners.
Perform or manage the effective hand-off of the completed project to the appropriate internal group (production turnover and project closeout)
Responsible for assisting the review of present it applications/systems and business processes and implementing changes to improve provided value, efficiency, and/or lower cost of ownership
Assist the it manager with compliance and recommend preventative and corrective actions
Assist with managing process improvements associated with major business system/tool change
Create user documentation for business tools and processes as needed
Develop and deliver training in business tools and processes as needed in association with the training development (tdev) department
Required skills
Bachelor`s degree in project management, analytics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or other equivalents.
4-6 years of related work experience in project management
3-5 years of related work experience in the it field
Proficiency in ms office, ms project, and visio
Proficiency in business analysis
Proficiency in project management techniques and methods (pmi, agile)
Proficiency in continuous improvement
Proficiency in change management
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Good leadership aptitude and the ability to interface and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, with partners, and vendors
Initiative, self-motivated with strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing capability.
Ability to strategize, plan and implement change

Strong understanding of the mining industry and related technologies
5+ years experience in a global it project management environment
