About the role
As a sales operations manager, you will be responsible for managing sales activities and processes, deriving actionable insights from data and analytics, strategy and execution of compensation and quota management, and aligning opportunity sales strategyThis role will help the gtm planning and operations manager and the sales leaders evaluate the general health of the sales process to help the organization run effectively and efficientlyThis role has high cross functional collaboration with finance, marketing, product and customer success.
The sales operations manager will carry out quantitative analysis and explanation of relevant data and ongoing analysis of alternatives and solutionsThey will work with the sales leaders to ensure our opportunity management is consistent, accurate and up to dateThey will also help drive strategic projects and initiatives that help streamline the sales process.
This role will partner with our product management and systems and tools team to maintain quote templates, price lists and skus, discount schedules and ensure our cpq quoting, workflow and approvals are efficient and scalableWhile most of the quotes are self service, the sales operations manager will partner with the sales leaders reps on the structure and quoting of more complex deals.
Responsibilities
Work with the field sales teams to identify opportunities for improvement
Assist with maintaining the functional areas of data management, forecasting, contacts, leads, opportunities, dashboards and reports, and ensuring data integrity throughout our crm system
Report and provide insights to support the decision-making and strategic planning of the sales management team
Report and analyze revenues and revenue-related metrics to assist management in making sound decisions
Analyze data and provide important visualization and dashboards that clearly communicates complex data in a simple form to non-technical audience
Conduct sales training and mentor new and existing sellers on sales-related procedures
Ensure the sales process is simple, easy-to-follow and scalable
Responsible for territory planning and analysis, quota assignment and the creation of compensation plans for all roles on commissions or bonus plans
Serve as subject matter expert and proffer professional advice on territory sizing and alignment
Work together with sales team and leadership to implement sales plans
Qualifications
You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are able to balance daily tasks with strategic initiatives.
You have strong analytical skills and are able to derive actionable insights from data
You are an expert in designing compensation plans for a saas company and can work with executive leadership to ensure our plans are aligned with our strategic growth initiatives and are designed to retain our best talent.
Familiarity with salesforce crm and cpq & clariAdmin certification in salesforce cpq a plus
Price book, discount schedule, and approval workflow experience
Deal desk or opportunity and quote management experience
Highly collaborative and able to communicate with individuals and executives
Project management skills – able to drive teams to results, provide status and keep teams aligned and accountable for execution
5-10 years of experience as a sales operations manager or equivalent role
Bachelor`s degree in business, marketing, analytics or other related degree
