The scoop:
Oversees medicare part d prescription drug event operations to ensure accurate creation and timely submission of part d prescription drug event (pde) files.
What you get to do:
Provides day-to-day supervision of medicare part d prescription drug event operations, including assigning daily duties and responsibilities
Provides direction and guidance to direct reports on operational issues; manages and delegates the workflow for the department; recruits, manages and retains the necessary resources to successfully perform the duties required of the team
Ensures team work deliverables are on time, within budget, meet quality goals, and timeframes expected by medimpact`s internal and external customers and the centers for medicare and medicaid services (cms)
Ensures client satisfaction through the completion and timely completion of pde tasks
Participate in client meetings and provide adequate information to all related departments
Provides ongoing training for staff development on department related topics, medaccess, medadjust and other software programs used by the staff
Partners with organization effectiveness to identify and fill training needs
Provides direction and guidance to the staff on operational issues
Assists the staff in helping to remove roadblocks
Reviews and audits team deliverables
Organizes and leads meetings with internal as well as external clients; ensures compliance with cms guidelines
Oversees prescription drug event reject resolution process maximizing the pde acceptance rate for all part d clients
Keeps up-to-date with medicare part d regulations and related cms guidance
Proactively reviews cms regulation and guidance related to part d prescription drug event, claim processing, claim adjustments, and coordination of benefits requirements
Provides comprehensive assessment of requirements when cms revises guidelines and executes process changes to ensure medimpact and client compliance to new guidelines
Attends and seeks out internal and external training and seminars to upgrade skills
Education and/or experience
For consideration candidates will need a bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) along with two (2) to five (5) plus years’ related experience in a pbm or managed healthcare setting
Two (2) plus years’ supervisory or lead experience required
Must have a good understanding of pde and prescription claim processing concepts and medicare part d benefits
Computer skills
Proficiency with ms office (word/excel/outlook) and familiar with databases.
