This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in helping to maintain high quality standards to our residents within our new Estates and Open Spaces team. The Caretaking Supervisor will be responsible for providing an effective and responsive caretaking service to the residents by ensuring that the overall appearance, cleanliness, and security of the area is maintained to a high standard.
You will be supervising a Caretaking Team in one of our London Regions in assisting in delivery of our estate services to provide a high a high standard of maintenance in communal areas within our blocks and on our estates. You may be carrying out communal cleaning and grounds maintenance work, as well as doing small maintenance repairs and redecoration as required. You will also be liaising directly with L&Q staff, residents and contractors and you must have due regard to health & safety and security issues.
In addition to supervising the caretaking staff you will monitor the cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors, undertake health and safety checks, and attend resident meetings. You will be required to liaise with internal departments and provide cover for caretakers as and when required.
You should have experience of repairs and maintenance and working effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative. Trade skills, Gardening or DIY experience would be an advantage together with a recognised City & Guilds or Bics qualification in cleaning.
Previous experience including staff management would be desirable. Essential qualities will be excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative in a flexible manner. You will also assist staff with enforcement of tenancy conditions.
This post requires a car driver, so a full driving licence is essential to drive a company vehicle
